How to switch local phone carriers
Posted by: info | October 4, 2006
Making a switch on your local phone service is fairly new. The telecommunications act of 1996 created a new way of shopping for your local phone service. We now have more competition in this market than ever, and the improvements and new technology has made it easier than ever to have a local telephone choice. Soon as you find a new local phone service plan that fits your calling needs, sign up for the service and you are done. The telephone company will send in the new information to your current provider and the process of converting companies will begin. The whole process will take no more than 20 days and your phone service will never skip a beat. You should not even know exactly when the company converts your phone line, it is that easy. Congress passed this act to allow customers the freedom of choice and allow the market to be more active and allow us to see substantial savings and superior customer excellence. We hope you enjoy your newest phone carrier, and always comparison shop for better deals at least once a year to ensure you get the absolute best price and service you have come to expect. Transfering my home phone service went exactly as planned. I just had a problem with the time it took. It took your phone service 2 days to transfer everything. I do enjoy the service and savings.
