The sale ends today! You don’t say

Posted by: info | November 21, 2006

I don’t think I have ever walked into a store who is promoting a sale that doesn’t end today. In sales this an outdated tactic that puts urgency on customers to make them buy now. If the sale doesn’t end today, a lot of sales people will say they don’t know when the sale ends or maybe they can’t guarantee it past today. The fact is they know when the sale ends they are just trying to get you to buy now. I hate to walk into s store the day after the sale ended to see that it was still running. If you ask a sales person about the event most of the time they will tell you the company decided to extend it. I am not saying don’t buy something on sale if you like it and it is advertised they last day of the event. I just want you to analyze the situation before buying and don’t buy something just because the sale ends. In most cases if the sale was a great success the company will probably run it again and maybe again and again.
