Always Carry Current Car Registration
Posted by: info | January 26, 2007
My mother was pulled over for having a tail light out on her car today. The police officer ask for her license and car registration first thing. Guess what? She did not have a current auto insurance id card with her. The cop gave her a ticket for not having proof of financial responsibility with her.
So now she will have to go in front of a judge on her court date to see if she can get the ticket dismissed or pay a $345 fine. She has insurance but did not keep an up to date id card in her car. So this is going to cost her both time and money. Carry a current auto insurance id card in case of an accident or to show a police officer. You never know when you might need it.
