Don’t get taken advantage of

To avoid being taken advantage of you first must learn to tell people no. It is one of the most simple but hardest words to say. No means No!
You can learn to say no and not offend anyone at the same time. You are not a miracle worker and you can’t take on more than you can handle. If someone keeps asking you for simple or large items including money and you can’t tell them no, they are taking advantage of you. They may be bumming some change, a few bucks, borrowing your vehicle or anything of value to you that someone keeps wanting and you don’t want to give up or lend. You just can’t stop it.
A lot of these bums may have more money than you or there is a good chance they are or have been a bully at some point. The easiest way to break down a bully is by saying no or standing up for yourself.
Once you tell them no or stand up to them you will feel so much better about yourself and your situation. You will fell as if your on top of the world. How can you advance or perform good at work or school if you are constantly thinking about this bully or bum? Do whatever you need or have to do to get them out of the way to perform better. Don’t talk about the situation behind their back or give them any attention. This is what they are looking for. Stand up for yourself and focus on better and more important things in your life. This will allow you to move on.
I am not saying don’t ever help anyone out. I think at some point we all are in need of a friend or family members help. I am only referring to people you just can’t stop or say no to. The fact is you will need to deal with this situation at some point or avoid it all together. Nobody wants to run or be a coward. This is your life and you have as much right to be here as anyone.
