Help in time of need

Posted by: info | February 26, 2007

At some point many Americans go through some real tough times. Some of these unfortunate people have no one to turn to. It can be almost anyone. They could lose their job, have a disaster or even have been abused by a spouse. There may be hope!

We love to help our fellow Americans in anyway shape or form we can. You can turn your situation around if you know where to seek help. I am a very spiritual person and the best advice I can offer one in need, is to turn yourself over to God. God will stand by you at all times, when you are left out, down in the dumps or alone there is no better help to seek than that of the highest power.

Go to your local church or religious establishment first to see how they can help you get going in the right direction. Many churches offer food, advice, shelter and know establishments in your area they may be able to help.

Salvation Army and the Red Cross are two well know establishments that may be able to offer you help. Sometimes they offer food, clothing and shelter. There are many offices and locations in America to help you when troubled. They are highly recommended by us and we love to give to them when possible. If you can ever offer or provide charity, these are two establishments who can really make good use of your offerings.

A new way of seeking help is by dialing 211 on your home phone. In a lot of areas in the country they have 24 hr. support help line. They can provide you with information you need to seek help. Provide some assistance for you. They offer some great benefits to our senior citizens as well. Our local office here provides people with fans and have a great prescription drug plan to help pay the cost of your medicine as well. The government made a real step forward in creating these help centers. If you can donate find your local office and see what they may need. They save lives.

You may also seek out an area shelter in times of need as well. Most counties have some types of shelters available. They can help you get jobs, provide food, clothing and can keep you safe.

If possible turn to family members. They are the ones who love and care about you the most. Even if you have a grudge, or have had a few problems in the past, try and get in touch. Most family members would love to help and can be quite forgiven if you need their help.

Overall you can turn your life around. Don’t become homeless and live on the streets. We have a lot of great organizations willing to help. Pride is never an issue. Your life will get better if you have a direction and if you follow God.
