Prepare yout utilities just right in a move.

Moving can be filled with stress. Nothing seems to go as planned including your utility bills. Having them switched over in time for your move will help reduce your stress.
Contact your local utilities at least a week in advance before moving to your new home. Transfer bills such as cable, telephone, electric, water, gas and Internet services. Also you will want to go to your local post office and fill out the moving form they offer. This will allow for your new bills and mail to start going to your new home right away. This will help reduce the time you have to go back and forth to your old address and pick up mail.
In addition make sure you contact all your monthly services and let them know your moving as well. Some that come to mind would be your bank, credit cards, cell phones, home and auto insurance. This will be very important and help you avoid disconnection or late fees.
Being prepared for your next move will save you a lot of time, trouble and stress. Don’t forget to get everything boxed up and set up any truck rentals in advance as well. You will be able to enjoy your new home much faster with the right preparations.
