Outsourcing Customer Service Reps

As many of you may have noticed by now if you call in for help with technical support, of any sorts, you are probably talking to someone in a foreign country. I don’t mind talking to someone from a foreign country. However, I do have trouble talking with outsourcing these jobs out of America. We have many people who are unemployed, on welfare or searching for work that are more than capable of working these jobs. So is it saving money?
No! Not for the government and everyone who pays taxes. We are paying for the people the government is supporting on welfare. There is an apartment complex near my house which is supported by the government. I go there everyday after school to drop off a friend’s kid. Taxpayers would be furious if they could see how house supposedly “unfortunate people” are living off the government. Driving up to these apartments you will find hundreds of healthy people from the ages of 20-40 doing nothing. Then you will not be able to avoid seeing the used car parking lot. These “unfortunate people” are driving brand new cars. It really looks like a used car lot. You can find almost every make and model from this year and last at this government suppoted housing.
Then if you stop or know somebody living there, you will find out that they are paying between $1.00 - $100.00 a month for all bills paid. They don’t even have to work and can afford these awesome new cars. I know that in America we want to take care and look after every citizen. However, you just wouldn’t believe your eyes at how these people are living. I have talked to and know several people from these apartments. I have discovered that most if not all have a whole lot less stress and live better than most employed hard working middle class families. Please don’t take all this the wrong way.
I am trying to say that there are real unfortunate people who do need help. I am very glad to help these people. I show it by supporting three charities in my community alone. We should just put time limits or find a way to get these people of of welfare. They are not better or worse than everyone else. And by the looks of it, many of these people are very capable of holding down a job. The folks who are taking advantage of their situation need to wake up or face possible crimes. Our government should have more control on this situation and force people to get off assistance little by little.
What better way to do this than offering these people jobs? They should have too work in order to keep getting assistance. Any of these people who quit or get terminated for unexcused reasons, shouldn’t be allowed to get back on welfare. Life is tough and everyone should have to experience what it is like to have to work hard and go to work each day. How can we get these jobs back?
This would be very easy. The government can offer companies bonuses or tax breaks for hiring these people. They can also help companies pay for some of the cost differences of the potential money they might lose by bringing these jobs back to America. I know Americans can’t provide the same labor rates as other countries. However, if the companies aren’t saving any money by going to a new country then why would they?
If they followed a government plan, they probably would have a great team and be helping people who want and need to work. Best of all, America probably would end up saving a lot of money in the long run. We would have more jobs, a lot less people on welfare, more taxpayers and improve lives. Doesn’t it make a lot of sense for us to bring this up with our local repasentatives?
