One of the most powerful tools in life can be a tape recorder. If a camera is an eye in the sky with no opinions for either side. Then a tape recorder is an ear with a voice. Like a camera, a tape recorder can sometimes be used and hold up in a court of law. If a person is being harassed, threatened or discriminated upon, then a tape recorder can help define words. Which would most people be able to do? Would they rather listen in on a conversation or see a conversation?

This is a no brainer for me, I would much rather listen to a conversation than see it. Don’t take this the wrong way, a camera can be more powerful in a lot of situations. However, when it comes to voice and words, a tape recorded is hands down the choice for me. A taper recorder is a tape player that can record people’s words. They are usually small and size and come equipped with a microphone, sometimes earphones and most come with a tape. They are usually operated with batteries.

How much does one cost? A basic tape recorder will most likely range between $20-$75. There are some types and brands that cost less and much more. Tapes are usually less than $10 each. A person can get a complete, ready to record tape player for under $60 at most stores that offer them. With all this being said, many people want to know what can a tape recorder do for them.

For people drowning in debt, a tape recorder can record calls and conversations. This can be a big help is someone is being harassed by a creditor. If someone was a work and ask a creditor to quit calling they would then have proof of the call(s) and be able to pursue legal actions against these creditors. In most states, a creditor can harass a customer at work. It is embarrassing to say the least to have creditors bothering employees. This keeps them from doing their job properly and can lead to termination by the employer in severe situations.

Recording other situations can benefit people as well. A person may never know when a tape recorder can benefit them. They are a very useful tool at an affordable price and can benefit people in a lot of different situations. Don’t allow anyone to get away with it is your word vs. mine. A tape recorder can prove who’s word it is.

With more and more Americans drowning in debt, repossession of vehicles and foreclosures are becoming ever so common. A repossession of a vehicle is when the lender or lien holder of a vehicle takes over possession from the purchaser of that vehicle due to a loan or contract in default. Different companies have different rime frames and policies on repossession. However, most all lenders have one thing in common. They would rather a driver pay off the loan than to repo the vehicle.

There are thousands of people right now trying to avoid having their vehicle from being repossessed. Some people try to hide their vehicle, block their vehicle in or keep in a garage or storage trying to buy time until they can catch up on their payments. There is two different types of repossessions. Let’s face it, there is no way a person can get away with hiding a car forever. The repo man will eventually catch up with you or the court will order that you turn over the vehicle.

A voluntary and non voluntary repossessions. A voluntary repo is when a purchaser turns over the vehicle to the lender by their self. This can occur by bringing the car to the original purchase place, bank or financial institution or setting up a time and place for the lender to rake possession of the vehicle. A non voluntary is just the opposite. A repo man has to hunt or get the car without the owners consent in most cases. The two end up having the sames outcomes and some say one is much better than the other.

The truth is, there is really no good way to have a repo on your credit history. However, you may have better chances of getting a vehicle financed in the future if you voluntary turn your vehicle in. There is not a lender one who wants to worry who, what and where there property is. These lenders have a lot of money invested in these vehicles. How can someone avoid a repossession?

If you want to avoid a repossession then you must talk with your lender. Trying to hide, cover up or ignoring your lender will not help you out one bit. Lenders would rather get their money back than have to repo a car and resale it at an auction in which they will most likely lose money. Call up your lender and let them know you are having trouble. Inform the lender that you would like to set up a payment plan or have the payment placed on the end of your note. A lot of lenders will allow a customer to place one or two payments on the back end of a note if the situation requires itself. This allows a customer to skip a payment in times of financial difficulties.

There is always hope when it comes to finances. Each lender deals with hundreds of cases of people having difficult times. There is no need to have a car repoed when you are very willing to keep your car and pay off your loan.

Many unfortunate people in America live on credit cards. A lot of them spend more money than they make. Many others use credit cards, without having enough income to pay their bills.

People who have lost a job, going to school, on unemployment or even disabled and live on credit cards to get buy, have the highest probability of becoming a debt victim.

When should you seek help? If you have more unsecured debt than you make in a year, you can’t make minimum payments or if you can’t make payments on time.

The good news is, there are a growing number of non profit debt relief companies that are more than willing to help. Seek help from a financial adviser or from a reputable non profit debt counselor if you are in trouble.

Being debt free can be one of the most rewarding challenges or accomplishments a person can achieve. The feeling of being out of debt is very satisfying. Set goals, manage your money better and pay your interest rate loans off sooner is some of the best ways of getting out of debt.

On average, Americans are commuting further than ever before. Some people prefer to live in a smaller city or out in the country. Others like to be close to their family or friends. Whatever your reason for choosing to commute further, it will cost you money and valuable time.

Time is something you can never get back. The more time you spend traveling and in your car, the less time you will have with your family and friends. A person with a 1 hr. commute can add a full extra day of work to their schedule. Take 1 hr. each way, for a total of 8 hrs. a week. With many Americans working more than ever, time has become much more valuable.

Longer commutes can cause auto insurance rates to go up as well. One factor that determines a policy is mileage. If your commute is longer, your mileage will be more as well. In turn, this will end up adding money to your premium.

Gas prices are rising as well. I can’t remember paying more than $3.00 for a gallon of gas. Your gas budget can double or triple, with a longer commute. The price of fuel probably won’t drop significantly in the near future. So keep this in mind before considering a long commute.

Also, you have a lot more wear and tear on your vehicle with a longer drive to work. Tires, oil changes, tune-ups and normal maintainence work will need to be done much more, due to the commute. The value of any vehicle drops with high mileage. People with long commutes can drive 2-4 times the normal driver. This will make it much harder to get a good deal if you decide to sale or trade-in your vehicle. Also car buyers will have a very hard time or have negative equity built up in their auto loan.

How can someone shorten a long commute? Their is hope of cutting down your drive time. More Americans are commuting now and this increases your chance of catching or taking part in car pooling to work. This is a group of people taking turns driving to work or school each day. One person may drive a day or a week. Then the next driver will do the same. So car pooling can cut gas, mileage and car maintence down in half or a third. This depends on the number of people involved in the car pool.

A shorter commute can allow people to sleep later, gain more time and save money on lunches. It is very nice to get up an hour later or go home for an hour during lunch. This can save money and allow more time for relaxing. These are some things a person should consider before jumping into a new property. Is the extra drive worth the extra money and lost time? Will the longer commutes and traffic add stress?

Is there such a thing as credit repair? Can it help or fix your credit report? These are questions we get asked on a daily basis. There are many offers and promotions from companies offering to improve your credit score or history for a fee.

In fact a lot of companies claiming to improve credit go out of business within one year. They may have good intentions, but they are dealing with the same daily problems all Americans have, who are looking to improve their credit report. This process takes time and a lot of dedication.

Usually credit repair companies have you sign a power of attorney to get access to your credit report. From there they try and dispute negative items on your report by sending out a letter to one or all of the major credit bureaus. The credit bureaus then open up an investigation and remove items in which they can’t verify as being accurate.

Once the credit repair companies get the results of the investigation back, they then open up a new one. They continue to dispute items from your credit report hoping that the companies with negative items on your report don’t respond. Therefore, the credit bureaus will drop this information off your report.

These companies keep repeating the process until your overall credit report improves. If you choose to go with a credit repair company, you will most likely have to make several trips to the office and continue to provide signatures and reports. The items they remove can be easily done by you instead.

Check out our credit dispute forms. Here you can find the names and addresses of the three major credit bureaus. The forms are free, and best of all, you are now equipped with the same information the pros use to improve credit scores.

People have less money in their savings account than ever before. People made saving money a priority back in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and even 80’s. What has changed? How can this be turned around?

Back in the good old days people made saving money and taking care of their family from financial disaster a must. They did not live as good but they were more than willing to make sacrifices to protect their family from a financial disaster. They probably kept from eating out, buying clothes or wants that some many Americans can’t live without these days. This was the standard way of life back then and it worked out real well.

Some of us are spending more than we make. This is another possible reason for lower savings. We are very tempted by credit. Credit is easy to obtain with the massive amounts of credit card, loan and financial companies willing to front us the money with a fee or interest rates. Some Americans buy everything on credit. This is a recipe for financial pitfall.

It’s not to late! It is never to late to start saving or preparing fro retirement. It first must be started with better and smarter spending habits. Goals and budgets can also help you manage your money better. Start with saving a little at a time. You may want to put away $25-$50 dollars a paycheck at first. Once you have this down try to double then triple it if possible until you reach your goal. Don’t stop there, start new goals and learn to manage and save even more.

Some smart Americans open a savings account that is hard to get to. They have an account in which they can deposit there money online or by mail. But, they have to drive to the bank to withdraw the money. This makes it easier for you to keep the money in the bank and still have access in an emergency.

There is no right or wrong way of saving. As long as you are reaching your goals and controlling your spending you are on your way to avoiding financial disasters you can’t dig yourself out of.

There are many non profit companies that can help you rid yourself of debt. Nobody wants to be in or leave someone else with their debt. Being debt free is very rewarding and makes you feel better. Learn how to dig yourself out of the hole.

You know you are in serious trouble if you can’t make the minimum payments on your credit card payments, late on your monthly bills or if you have to skip a payment. Some people have as much as 50k or more in credit card debt alone. They may have lost their job, going to school or just lived on credit cards. Either way they get in over their head and can’t get out.

When you are missing payments, borrowing more money or being late, you need to consider seeking help. Seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of and can really help you cut your debt payments. A lot of our valued customers who seek help in our debt relief center choose to have their bills consolidated into one monthly payment. This is much easier to budget and more affordable with the reduced interest rates our companies seek to get from your credit cards. Whatever works best for you is the way to go.

Remember it is never to late to get out of debt. It can sometimes feel like you are never going to pay it down. It can be frustrating at times and very stressful. Believe in yourself and seek the help of a professional to better help you deal with your debt. There is hope and many people to help you with your struggles along the way.

In today’s world, almost everything revolves around credit reports and history. Some feel that our country puts too much emphasis on credit. If you are buying a home, car, boat, ATV or any vehicle for that matter, your credit report will be checked. Your credit may also be checked for renting or leasing any of these items as well. Before you buy auto, homeowners or life insurance your credit history decides how much you pay. Your monthly bills even get impacted. Your interest rates, and even some employers are now viewing the reports before hiring an applicant. So, how can you find out where you stand and make sure your report is accurate?

First you will need to check your report. We recommend getting your free credit report from https://www.annualcreditreport.com. You will need to look it over completely and verify all the information is accurate. Look at everything including your name, address, employment, purchases and all other items. Did you find something wrong?

Now, you can go to our credit dispute center and get a free printable credit dispute form. Here you can also get the names and addresses of the credit bureaus to send in any negative or out-dated information. Also you will find out how to add accounts not listed in your file.

You will need to send a dispute form to each bureau who has negative information on your file. Take each reporting center on a case by case basis. So if the information is wrong on all three files, you will need to send a dispute to all three companies and so forth. Once they have the information of any errors they have to investigate it. If they find any errors during the investigation they will update it and send you the results.

Finally, you should always keep accurate records of any disputes you filed and the dates you had your credit checked as well. This will be good information if these errors some how come back up or don’t get done proper. Removing negative items can raise your credit score. By checking your report on an annual basis you keep it more accurate and have a better chance of catching any fraudulent activities before they occur.

You can get yourself in some massive debt if you choose to borrow money to pay off another loan or lender. You are basically paying double interest for your original loan. Let’s take a look at some fees.

First of all you rack up $2500 in credit card debt. You min. payment is $50 a month. You can’t come up with the money, now what? I know borrow from another lender to pay off this old debt. You may even get an introductory rate. It all sounds good.

You may not know that you are digging yourself in a deeper hole. Some people can get away with this, but most can’t. Your credit may be harmed by the lack of payments. This will sooner or later catch up to you. Most lenders like to see some activity and regular payments being made. What can you do?

Consider calling your lender and lending them know your situation. You may be able to make a reduced payment or send it in a little later. Warning! If you send your payment late you may get a late fee and some negative activity on your credit report.

Do the best you can in this situation. Never buy something you can’t afford. Don’t use your available credit to do your daily activities. If you are doing this, you can’t afford your lifestyle. Seek help from a reputable financial counselor.

I have emails daily from people needing help with their budget. It almost seems impossible for most people to do a budget. Why?

I would say about 90% or more have trouble starting it. When they look at their budget compared to what they make it doesn’t take long for them to realize major finacial problems are here. The hardest part for most is getting started. Consumers are so far in the hole they can’t stay on a budget because everything is behind or due now. So I think consumers should tackle the most important bills before anything. You should set your own priorites based on your lifestyle and situation. Some very important bills could be….

Rent/Mortgage

Utilities Water/Gas/Electric

Transportation Car/Gas/Insurance

You should try and get these bills organized and paid first. If you have to, take a month or so to get your bills organized and on budget. It may be a big challenge but setting your budget should help you obtain your goals and organize your spending. Who knows you may end up have more money than you think.
