It seems as if drivers have lost the true meaning of driving courtesy. Many lawmakers are starting to crack down on drivers who are not following the laws and they are wanting police officers nationwide to start enforcing the laws.

While driving it is very easy to be safe and follow laws. Some drivers don’t even pull over during a funeral. This shows a lot of disrespect and angers a lot of people. In general, the last car in a funeral will have the lights turned on or the cars will be in single file. Allow these drivers respect and wishes to pay their loved ones respect.

Some of the laws in which will be more enforced and should be as follows.

Emergency Vehicles; Move over when an emergency vehicle is coming. An emergency vehicle can be a fire truck, ambulance, police car and other vehicles with proper flashing lights and sirens. Be prepared to pay a FINE if ignoring this law. The drivers need to get where they are going in a hurry. Peoples lives can be in danger and every second counts.

Turn Signals; There has been articles on this blog about using a trun signal or blinker. Before passing a vehicle, moving into another lane, turning at a light or stop sign or going in any other direction, signal to other drivers which way. This helps avoid accidents and promotes safety and saves time. Not using a blinker can also result in a ticket.

Stop Signs; A driver must come to a complete stop at a stop sign or a red light. Also, a driver should look both ways and be very cautious of other vehicles. In most states if not all, the driver who stops at a 4 way stop first, goes first. If two or more drivers pull up together, the driver on the right should go first. Always be cautious.

Drive in the left lane; In most states, driving on the hwy. should be done in the left lane. The right lane should be for passing only. In Texas, this has become a strictly enforced law in certain areas. Drivers are getting tickets for driving in the right lane. If everyone was able to do this, the hwys. would be much smoother.

How does a consumer know if they are getting a good deal? Let’s look at a car purchase, the most well know places for getting hammered. A good deal is considered a deal in which was good for both the buyer and seller. The buyer may get a lower cost product, while the seller may make a profit and get future business from the customer. In car sales, a consumer almost never thinks of a deal that is good. It has been put into our heads for years that a car sale is lmost always bad for the customer. Does this always come true? Why would a customer buy from a car dealership?

Check out the article on how to buy a new car to save money on your next vehicle purchase. This article contains tips and secrets no dealership wants a customer to know. However, for whatever reason, most consumers get cold feet or are intimidated by their car salesperson. The know they are not doing the right thing and they know how to get a better deal. Knowing this, a lot of consumers are still getting robbed by car dealers. How does one know if the deal is good?

This is the easy part. A customer should ask is they would recommend a friend to the dealership, buy another vehicle and enjoy their new vehicle. If a customer can answer all three of these questions, then they most likely got a great deal. Don’t get caught up in the hype and play games. Pick out a vehicle and then go buy it. Do some research and shop at a few places. Try to seek financing at an alternate place, unless the dealer is offering a special finance rate and buy the vehicle.

Don’t worry about what others say or think. As long as the customer is happy, then the deal was good. Keep in mind that a car dealership has a lot of expenses and can’t always offer the absolute lowest prices. They have many expenses such as paint, body work, repair shop, parts and many employees. Ripping a car dealership off is almost unthinkable and just don’t make a lot of sense. However, getting a fair price, great service and possible repairs should account for something.

One of the most powerful tools in life can be a tape recorder. If a camera is an eye in the sky with no opinions for either side. Then a tape recorder is an ear with a voice. Like a camera, a tape recorder can sometimes be used and hold up in a court of law. If a person is being harassed, threatened or discriminated upon, then a tape recorder can help define words. Which would most people be able to do? Would they rather listen in on a conversation or see a conversation?

This is a no brainer for me, I would much rather listen to a conversation than see it. Don’t take this the wrong way, a camera can be more powerful in a lot of situations. However, when it comes to voice and words, a tape recorded is hands down the choice for me. A taper recorder is a tape player that can record people’s words. They are usually small and size and come equipped with a microphone, sometimes earphones and most come with a tape. They are usually operated with batteries.

How much does one cost? A basic tape recorder will most likely range between $20-$75. There are some types and brands that cost less and much more. Tapes are usually less than $10 each. A person can get a complete, ready to record tape player for under $60 at most stores that offer them. With all this being said, many people want to know what can a tape recorder do for them.

For people drowning in debt, a tape recorder can record calls and conversations. This can be a big help is someone is being harassed by a creditor. If someone was a work and ask a creditor to quit calling they would then have proof of the call(s) and be able to pursue legal actions against these creditors. In most states, a creditor can harass a customer at work. It is embarrassing to say the least to have creditors bothering employees. This keeps them from doing their job properly and can lead to termination by the employer in severe situations.

Recording other situations can benefit people as well. A person may never know when a tape recorder can benefit them. They are a very useful tool at an affordable price and can benefit people in a lot of different situations. Don’t allow anyone to get away with it is your word vs. mine. A tape recorder can prove who’s word it is.

One of the best values in today’s world is a newspaper. Even though the price of a daily newspaper has increased in the past years, it still remains one of the lowest cost print products available today. Almost anywhere in America a person can find a nearby local newspaper for under $2.00. A lot of these local newspapers cost less than a $1 a day. A newspaper is filled with some excellent values and opportunities on a daily basis.

There is almost nothing more enjoyable for me than to read the newspaper each day. I like to view the headlines, sports, comics and classifieds on a daily basis. This is a way for me to sit down and relax before starting out my day. The paper also keeps me informed of upcoming events and activities going on in the area. I can’t help but to look for once in a lifetime values in the classifieds. A person can never know what they might find.

There is no better day to subscribe to the newspaper than Sunday. Sunday seems to always carry the most jobs, sales, automobiles and coupons. The coupons are what will keep me a subscriber forever. A smart consumer can save up to $200 or more from the Sunday Paper alone. Clipping coupons shouldn’t be a hassle or embarrassing, it is just plain smart and can save money.

Some stores will even double or triple these coupons resulting in more savings. There are so many different food coupons and options, it would be hard to believe that any shopper couldn’t find something they use on a normal basis. A consumer should go through the coupons and clip any that they use or may consider using in the future and put them in a bag or a safe place until they can be used. Almost all grocers will honor these coupons.

Once a consumer establishes a habit of clipping and using coupons, they can learn to have fun with it and look forward to saving more each week. One thing a consumer should try and avoid is to buy products or services they don’t use just to save money. This can end up wiping out some of the savings a consumer will get from the products they do use. A coupon will only be valuable if it is on something the consumer uses or has been wanting to try out. The savings from the coupons can make products more affordable and a better value.

A newspaper can be purchased at almost any gas station or food mart. A consumer can subscribe to the paper for a daily, weekend or Sunday basis. If a consumer buys a paper on a regular basis, they should probably become a subscriber. Most newspaper offer discounts to their subscriber and often times the subscriber can have the paper delivered to their door. Subscribers can sometimes see discounts anywhere from 5-45% off the regular news stand price. This makes the paper even more attractive and a much better value.

Any homeowner who has been more than two months behind on their mortgage has most likely had an acceleration warning letter from their lender. An acceleration warning is a letter from a financial institution or lender threatening to speed up the foreclosure process if the past due amount on the loan is not paid within 30 days. What can be done with an acceleration warning?

Even with the threat of foreclosure the acceleration brings a homeowner still has options and plenty of hope. When a homeowner is faced with difficult situations as these, it is very important to remain positive and calm. A consumer with this letter should immediately call their mortgage company. Prompt response can be the difference from foreclosure to getting caught up on payments.

The lender will be happy to hear from their customers and probably very eager to work out a payment plan. Call the lender and ask what arrangements if any can be worked out. Explain how the situation has happened and what will be done to prevent it in the future. Many times a consumer can avoid paying all the money required in 30 days by the acceleration warning. Most of these consumers don’t have any hope or chance of paying the entire amount. Once an acceleration warning is issued, the customer is at least two months behind and will be asked to pay three months of payments. These consumers are having a hard time making one payment, so asking for three payments at once would almost be impossible. The lenders are very aware of these statistics and look forward to the customer calling and collecting their money.

How long does a homeowner have before foreclosure after an acceleration warning? This can vary from state to state and by lenders. However, a lot of lenders will have the foreclosure set to happen in about six weeks from the end of the acceleration warning. Then a homeowner will be served papers and required to leave within 10 days. Once the acceleration warning has passed without response, it becomes very difficult to set up payment arrangements or come up with the money. At this point the lender will require the customer to come up with all the money in most cases.

Almost every consumer in America has heard of prepaid phone plans available in today’s market. It would be almost impossible not to know about the ability to prepay for cellular phone service. However, many consumers don’t know the ins and outs of prepaid service vs. being billed monthly. Learn about these features and benefits before buying service.

New technology advancements have made it easy for most carriers to now offer some type of prepaid phone service. Even though a prepaid plan doesn’t offer all of the same kicks as standard service it does have some really cool features that regular service can’t offer. Here are some of the advantages to having a prepaid cellular phone.

Prepaid Cellular Phone Service Benefits:

Easier to budget. Pay as you want when you want.

You can decide how many minutes you need and avoid paying for minutes you can’t use or don’t want.

No Credit Checks!

Freedom to pick your plan, minutes, carrier and phone.

No obligation and absolutely no contracts.

Avoid a surprise attack or an outrageous bill from yourself or a family member.

Minutes are easy to get and very assessable through many retailers, by phone and the Internet.

How can you go wrong with all these great features and benefits from prepaid wireless? While all of this sounds great, there are some outstanding features a consumer doesn’t want to overlook from having regular monthly billed cell phone service.

Contract Cellular Phone Service Benefits:

Free Phones! High priced phones for free or at a reduced cost for signing a contract.

More minutes for the money. (In most cases)

Low cost text messaging.

A lot of free night and weekend minutes.

Additional or multiple line discounts.

No worries of running out of time.

Flexible billing, plans and phones.

As you can see, there are some great features and benefits of each type of wireless service you choose. Take into consideration of what you and your family needs the phone for and then you can decide on what works the best. Take a test drive and look at the different plans and phones each has to offer. Some people prefer to prepay, while others like to be billed. There is no better choice for the public. Each cell phone user is unique and has different calling needs.

Everybody has there own understanding is to what may be their most important factors for auto insurance. What do you want from an auto insurance company, policy or an agent? Only you know if saving money, better coverage or customer service is right for you. Before you actually decide for yourself on your auto insurance priorities, think about how your choices may impact your vehicles, family and bank account.

Learning the rules and regulations of auto insurance and coverage options can become a valuable asset to your entire family. The rules and regulations are different from state to state and should be treated as such. The information from this site may not help you out if you are purchasing auto insurance in Alaska. This blog is designed to be a general guide to help consumers purchase auto insurance online and to save money. Not everyone will agree or abide by the opinions and thoughts of this website. This is why it is so important for Americans to educate themselves.

Auto insurance is much more than coverage for your car. Coverage for your car is actually one of the smallest reasons to purchase auto insurance. Auto insurance is more about protecting you from damage to other vehicles and people. The reasons for most state’s requiring auto insurance is to prevent motorist from damaging a vehicle and not repairing it. Think about what goes in to auto insurance for a second.

When choosing auto insurance a person must decide the levels of coverage needed. An auto insurance policy will not exceed the limits of the selected coverages amounts. If there is a difference in amounts, the driver is responsible for the excess damages. A driver can be putting their self in financial risk by purchasing state minimums of coverages. This is just some food for thought before signing the dotted line on your new policy.

A Spare Tire is a Must!

A spare tire can come in very handy when the unexpected happens. It is estimated than nearly 90% of all drivers who have been on the road for 5 years or more have experienced a flat tire at some point. This means that 9 out of every 10 drivers have had a need for a spare tire at some point during their driving life. There are other things all drivers should carry along with a spare tire to make it both useful and effective.

Every new car or truck sold in America that I can think of now comes equipped with a spare tire. In addition to the tire, most car makers provide a jack and lug wrench as well. A brand new spare tire almost never will run out of air until it has been used. However, these tires are not meant to be driven on for long periods or a lot of miles. Therefore, the tire needs to be inspected after use for proper air inflation and potential leaks.

A jack can be as important as the spare tire itself. You should also check you jack and inspect it for proper working conditions. You should become familiar with how to use the jack as well. A jack provided by car makers are sometimes very hard to operate and many drivers can’t use them properly. By inspecting the jack and learning how to use it properly, you can avoid a lot of troubles during an emergency.

Each driver should also learn where to place the jack for proper lifting of the vehicle. Most car makers supply an owner’s manual and list the proper way to change a tire. As a driver, you should have knowledge before hand on how to set it up and use the jack properly.

Lastly, all drivers need to make sure their vehicle is equipped with a lug wrench. A lug wrench is a tool that is used to remove lug nuts from a tire’s wheel. A lug wrench can also be used with your jack as well. Some jacks supplied by car makers use a lug wrench to turn the jack and make it raise and lower it. If you have an aftermarket wrench or wheels you need to make sure that your lug wrench matches your lug nuts. You can’t change a tire without removing the lug nuts.

To prevent thefts, a lot of car makes have a security device for the wheels or hubcaps of a lot of vehicles. You need to learn how to operate the key and make sure it can be easy found in case of an emergency. The key will unlock the hubcap or lug nuts to enable a driver to remove the wheel. If you don’t have the key it will be almost impossible to remove the tire. It is a good idea to have a duplicate copy if possible. You should be able to get this at your dealership.

Changing a tie can be extremely dangerous. It is even more dangerous when the tire needs to be changed with a lot of heavy traffic. The cars can be going speeds in excess of the speed limit so be very careful. Changing a tire can become even more difficult if it is on the driver’s side. The best way to change a tire is with the help of a police office or professional. You can call the police during this situation. It is considered an emergency situation in most areas. A police officer can provide you with a lot of safety and security.

With all this in mind, try to make sure your vehicle is equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to change the tire. You never know when you may need it. It is a very dangerous situation and knowledge and experience can be quite helpful.

With more and more Americans drowning in debt, repossession of vehicles and foreclosures are becoming ever so common. A repossession of a vehicle is when the lender or lien holder of a vehicle takes over possession from the purchaser of that vehicle due to a loan or contract in default. Different companies have different rime frames and policies on repossession. However, most all lenders have one thing in common. They would rather a driver pay off the loan than to repo the vehicle.

There are thousands of people right now trying to avoid having their vehicle from being repossessed. Some people try to hide their vehicle, block their vehicle in or keep in a garage or storage trying to buy time until they can catch up on their payments. There is two different types of repossessions. Let’s face it, there is no way a person can get away with hiding a car forever. The repo man will eventually catch up with you or the court will order that you turn over the vehicle.

A voluntary and non voluntary repossessions. A voluntary repo is when a purchaser turns over the vehicle to the lender by their self. This can occur by bringing the car to the original purchase place, bank or financial institution or setting up a time and place for the lender to rake possession of the vehicle. A non voluntary is just the opposite. A repo man has to hunt or get the car without the owners consent in most cases. The two end up having the sames outcomes and some say one is much better than the other.

The truth is, there is really no good way to have a repo on your credit history. However, you may have better chances of getting a vehicle financed in the future if you voluntary turn your vehicle in. There is not a lender one who wants to worry who, what and where there property is. These lenders have a lot of money invested in these vehicles. How can someone avoid a repossession?

If you want to avoid a repossession then you must talk with your lender. Trying to hide, cover up or ignoring your lender will not help you out one bit. Lenders would rather get their money back than have to repo a car and resale it at an auction in which they will most likely lose money. Call up your lender and let them know you are having trouble. Inform the lender that you would like to set up a payment plan or have the payment placed on the end of your note. A lot of lenders will allow a customer to place one or two payments on the back end of a note if the situation requires itself. This allows a customer to skip a payment in times of financial difficulties.

There is always hope when it comes to finances. Each lender deals with hundreds of cases of people having difficult times. There is no need to have a car repoed when you are very willing to keep your car and pay off your loan.

How many times have you heard this? I had to learn the hard way today. I have a bad habit of being way too trustworthy. For years now I have failed to lock my doors while running in somewhere or going somewhere for a very short time. Today this burnt me at the Dr.’s office. I never thought anyone would have the nerve to still in broad daylight at a busy office. A thief would have to be fearless to not know when I was coming out, who I was or if anyone would see him. The worst part of this whole situation is what i actually lost.

The thief took my car cd player. I bought this for $89 last year. I bought a cheap radio in hopes nobody would be interested in stealing it. In the car I had a checkbook, a lot of music cd’s, 2 dvd’s, change, a nice air compressor and a brand new pipe wrench. i was so thankful that the thief took nothing more than my radio and my cologne. I guess he didn’t have the same taste in music as I do.

The thought of a thief in my car made me feel very violated. I just felt weird looking through my items to see what is missing. All of my paperwork, glove box and other items had been moved and pushed in the floor. This is just a very bad feeling. I probably could have prevented all of it as well.

I know if a thief wants an item bad enough he will more than likely get it regardless of an alarm or if the doors are lock. However, I feel that the thief wouldn’t have risked the attention of an alarm or wouldn’t have busted out my window at the office. There is just to many people going in and out at all times. Let my mistake be a warning for all. Please lock your doors.
