Many drivers across the country don’t know enough about auto insurance or even stop to think about their policy limits to see what may happen to them if they become exposed. These drivers don’t worry about it until it’s too late or it happens to them. In the past 7 years of insurance experience I have found some people who have had a policy for many years with millions of dollars at risk.

I was fortunate to find a major lack in coverage for a dentist with two 16 year old sons who bought the minimum amount of coverage required by the state for years. The review of his policy found he could lose a tremendous amount of cash and investments he had on hand.

The dentist had shared with me that he has had the same insurance carrier with minimum limits on the policy for more than 10 years. The policy review made him aware of the exposure his sons or even himself could leave his family high and dry, totally exposed to lose a lot. If his son was to have an accident the driver of the other vehicle is going to come after him not his 16 year old sons.

Insurance companies consider male drivers under 25 in their highest risk category for drivers without any accidents or tickets. They don’t make this stuff up, there is good reason why this class of drivers pay more for insurance, they are more likely to have accidents, take on bigger risk and leave a parents assets exposed without enough auto insurance coverage!

Please review coverage amounts before renewing your next policy. In most cases you can add 3-4 times more coverage for less than $10 a month. As an agent I would like to see drivers raise their deductibles to buy more coverage limits if they can’ afford the extra money. This would leaver drivers at a higher risk to pay more during a claim. However, this could help prevent them from having a major financial devistation, protect their future wages, investments, property and valuable things. The bottom line is a driver with a higher deductible and higher limits would most likely have a bad day instead of a bad life.

Law enforcement is stepping up the fines and putting a lot more effort into getting uninsured drivers off the road. Law enforcement has a new weapon against uninsured driving and here it is.

The new weapon police officers are using is jail. No person wants to be put behind bars and now they have no choice if they choose to drive without auto insurance. I like this new law and I hope that every state will adopt it asap. A lot of states are already towing vehicles, I just want them to do it uniformly. If they do it for one driver, than they need to tow every driver. Have it the same no matter what your race, sex or age is and I will be very pleased. I am leading the fight to get uninsured drivers off the road and I will continue fighting until every driver has auto insurance. Remember if you can’t afford auto insurance, than you can’t afford to drive.

For years drivers have been able to slide by with getting a 6 month policy and not paying it. These drivers would keep the card and have proof of coverage, even though the coverage had been canceled or dropped by the insurance company. Not NO MORE!!!!

Drivers have been known to pay for one month of an auto insurance policy and quit paying after the required first payment. This would allow them to have an insurance card that shows to be valid for 6 months or even a year and they would provide this after a ticket or during an accident. DPS (Department of Public Safety) is putting a stop to this promptly. America is smarter and will be much safer on the road across the country as more and more states are picking up and using what is known as Vehicle Insurance Verification.

The Vehicle Insurance Verification system is a program that verifies auto insurance coverage is maintained by the vehicle in question. An officer now calls and makes sure the driver has current coverage regardless of a valid policy or not. If the driver doesn’t have current auto insurance coverage, the state records the information and keeps it on file. Once a driver gets caught by the system they will be required to carry sr-22 insurance and or lose their license to a suspension for a set period of time determined by law.

The only drawback of the system is time. The officer will now have to call and verify coverage which will take more time. However, this is well worth the time and will save millions in insurance cost and drivers who get hit by the uninsured.

Auto insurance companies are getting too big! That is what happened and is keeping customers from their rights. Did I miss a new law or is their a new loop hole allowing insurance companies to use junk yard parts, have their own repair centers and many other similar second hand repairs?

There are many areas in which the big insurance companies have set up repair centers and provide estimates, search for second hand parts from junk yards, salvages and anywhere else they can get discounts and even have the customer repair the vehicles there if possible. It didn’t seem that long ago when a customer could get the estimates on his or her own and choose which company to do the repairs with brand new top of the line parts, labor and paint.

The best way to get an exact match of the vehicle prior to the damage has to be using the best parts, paint, equipment and help. Heck, I had damage to a vehicle just a few years ago that allowed me to do as I pleased. It was nice to get the estimates on my own, talk with the service centers and pick the place to have my vehicle repaired by brand new parts.

It is nice being able to get the best work done from the best and most well know auto repair center in the area, even if it is a dealership. This is the kick back that the driver should have for being inconvenienced for the accident caused by another driver. I know that this is the practice and rights still to date if you are hit by another driver, so why does the insurance company try to cut their own customers short? If given the option, not a single customer would pick one of these repairs centers over their own. Second hand is just not the same, no matter what the item.

I am just a frustrated driver fighting for the rights of other fellow drivers and trying to keep auto insurance cost down. If we was able to save money by using these companies I would be all for it, trying to use second hand parts and etc. However, I have learned that any savings goes to the insurance company from the past experiences I have seen. I would be shocked if a company passed the savings on to their drivers. Companies seem to always be seeking a way to do their own estimates, repairs and on their own time. This use to be the customers convinces and now it seems to be vanishing little by little.

A trip to the polls was never designed to be this difficult I hope. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to learn the voting process in Texas. In fact is was dreadful and a lot of people I spoke to felt the same way. I don’t know if it was this hard to vote everywhere in the state. I do know that my wife and I had a lot of difficulty and was completely lost in the situation of voting for the democratic race for president of the Untied Sates of America. This is the highest office of the free world and should be much easier as it can impact outcomes of the American People. Here are some of the troubles my wife and I had, you probably will not believe how it went.

First of all, I would like to mention these are the experiences my wife and I had and could have been different across the state. However, this seemed to be very widespread where I was voting after hearing and seeing a lot for the same questions and responses in the room.

I went to vote today for the primary in the democratic race in Texas. I have voted a few times before and it has always been at the same place. However, I went there and there was nobody around, no signs or any information in the area. I assumed that I missed a message or something else was going on. I even thought for a minute that I wasn’t able to vote today. I went to my local library after that to seek help. I didn’t have any luck there. So, I decided to go home. On my way home I stopped by the local store and asked in line if anybody knew where voting was taking place this year (my wife thought I was crazy). A voter there was kind enough to tell me where she voted. I was so happy!

We went to the polls and was amazed at the amount of people voting. This was a great sign to me and I was pleased to see the turn out. My wife and I went in and she realized she left her license at home. They told us that she would need to come back in order to vote (very understandable). There was two tables one democrat, one republican. I showed my license, checked in and wanted to ask for information about the caucus. I knew the caucus was going on but I had no idea what it was or meant. I have never voted like this or in one of these before.

I wanted to know what time it was being held and what I needed to do if anything. The worker at the table had no idea on when the caucus started or what it really was. In fact, she said I could vote just in the primary if I wanted (which is true) but, I wanted to vote in both and learn the process and help my candidate. Trying to get help was like pulling teeth. I really felt as the worker just wanted to escape the question and move me on in line. This worker didn’t care to find out the answer to my questions or ask anyone else for help and didn’t tell me a thing about the caucus. Frustrated, I decided to vote in the primary and come back before polls closing with my wife so she could vote and I could learn more about the caucus.

We went back at 6:45. This was 15 minutes until the polls was closing for the primary according to the employee. As we arrived, I led my wife in to vote and found out the polls had been closed for the primary and tables was being set up. I assume for the caucus. Once again, I faced major issues with finding out information. Nobody could tell me why the polls shut off the or at what time and I couldn’t find out anything about the caucus. The entire line seemed to be as frustrated and confused as I was. Nobody there seemed to know what was going on. Everybody was talking and becoming quite annoyed with the process. I left in total frustration.

I will do everything possible to make voting easier in the future here in Texas. I am an educated person and couldn’t figure out the process and why I should vote twice. It bothers me to think that a candidate could earn as many or more delegates cause they had more voters vote twice for them in the same day. They earned more or as much and had a lot less people voting for them in the state. What is this?

It also bothered me to find out some people who are Republican can vote in the Democratic election. What party would want this and how fair is it? It is no wander why so many people choose not to exercise their most powerful right in the USA, the right to vote and elect the country’s top leaders. On this night it seemed as if a voter had to be a rocket scientist to figure out the process. I hope we can change it in time for the next election. However, i am sure people in Florida was thinking the same thin back in 2000. Let’s work together and fix our election problems before complaining about another country.

It seems as if drivers have lost the true meaning of driving courtesy. Many lawmakers are starting to crack down on drivers who are not following the laws and they are wanting police officers nationwide to start enforcing the laws.

While driving it is very easy to be safe and follow laws. Some drivers don’t even pull over during a funeral. This shows a lot of disrespect and angers a lot of people. In general, the last car in a funeral will have the lights turned on or the cars will be in single file. Allow these drivers respect and wishes to pay their loved ones respect.

Some of the laws in which will be more enforced and should be as follows.

Emergency Vehicles; Move over when an emergency vehicle is coming. An emergency vehicle can be a fire truck, ambulance, police car and other vehicles with proper flashing lights and sirens. Be prepared to pay a FINE if ignoring this law. The drivers need to get where they are going in a hurry. Peoples lives can be in danger and every second counts.

Turn Signals; There has been articles on this blog about using a trun signal or blinker. Before passing a vehicle, moving into another lane, turning at a light or stop sign or going in any other direction, signal to other drivers which way. This helps avoid accidents and promotes safety and saves time. Not using a blinker can also result in a ticket.

Stop Signs; A driver must come to a complete stop at a stop sign or a red light. Also, a driver should look both ways and be very cautious of other vehicles. In most states if not all, the driver who stops at a 4 way stop first, goes first. If two or more drivers pull up together, the driver on the right should go first. Always be cautious.

Drive in the left lane; In most states, driving on the hwy. should be done in the left lane. The right lane should be for passing only. In Texas, this has become a strictly enforced law in certain areas. Drivers are getting tickets for driving in the right lane. If everyone was able to do this, the hwys. would be much smoother.

Last month I finally started thinking green. After all, my life is devoted to saving people money and helping our community and country. I fear global warming like many other Americans do. I wanted to do my part and learn energy consumption and environmental products for the home and office. Guess what?

Lowering energy usage will save money. I put it to the test last month and saved over $150 on my electric bill. The best part about the entire situation is the little effort I had to do to save energy in my home.

I went out and purchased these spiral energy saving light bulbs from a home improvement store. The cost was $3.79 each since I purchased in bulk. I changed every single light possible, in every room, inside and out. The bulbs screw in just like a regular bulb and are easy to use.

I don’t know exactly how these bulbs save so much energy. I have come to the conclusion that a fluorescent light bulb doesn’t need to use as much watts as a regular bulb.

In the long run, these bulbs are projected to save me over $1,000 in energy cost this year alone. Even better is the fact that I am lowering energy use and helping the environment. I am not going to stop trying to conserve energy here. Next, I am planning to put in new, more energy efficient windows and appliances. I will keep you up to date on when and how much these will save and reduce energy cost. If everyone in America would start thinking green, we can add thousands of years to our most wonderful planet. Everyone should do their part.

There are plenty of advertisements all over the web regarding companies promising lower auto insurance rates. The truth is, saving on auto insurance is easy and best of all doesn’t cost a pennny.

A driver can save money on auto insurance by following a few simple steps. Keep in mind, there are NO Shortcuts! If you miss a step, you probably will over pay for auto insurance.

Comparison Shopping! I can’t speak enough regarding the importance of this. A driver must shop at least 5 companies to get the lowest rate. Failing to skip this step will cost you the most money.

Comparing coverages! The state minimum or purchasing the highest possible coverage doesn’t always make since. The state minimum will barely pay for most cars these days. Most drivers will not cause as much damage as the highest coverage allows. Selecting coverages that benefit your driving needs only makes since.

That’s It! Well not everything. Don’t forget to mention any discounts you may qualify for and keep a good driving record. If you do comparison shop, you might be surprised at the savings you get.

How does a consumer know if they are getting a good deal? Let’s look at a car purchase, the most well know places for getting hammered. A good deal is considered a deal in which was good for both the buyer and seller. The buyer may get a lower cost product, while the seller may make a profit and get future business from the customer. In car sales, a consumer almost never thinks of a deal that is good. It has been put into our heads for years that a car sale is lmost always bad for the customer. Does this always come true? Why would a customer buy from a car dealership?

Check out the article on how to buy a new car to save money on your next vehicle purchase. This article contains tips and secrets no dealership wants a customer to know. However, for whatever reason, most consumers get cold feet or are intimidated by their car salesperson. The know they are not doing the right thing and they know how to get a better deal. Knowing this, a lot of consumers are still getting robbed by car dealers. How does one know if the deal is good?

This is the easy part. A customer should ask is they would recommend a friend to the dealership, buy another vehicle and enjoy their new vehicle. If a customer can answer all three of these questions, then they most likely got a great deal. Don’t get caught up in the hype and play games. Pick out a vehicle and then go buy it. Do some research and shop at a few places. Try to seek financing at an alternate place, unless the dealer is offering a special finance rate and buy the vehicle.

Don’t worry about what others say or think. As long as the customer is happy, then the deal was good. Keep in mind that a car dealership has a lot of expenses and can’t always offer the absolute lowest prices. They have many expenses such as paint, body work, repair shop, parts and many employees. Ripping a car dealership off is almost unthinkable and just don’t make a lot of sense. However, getting a fair price, great service and possible repairs should account for something.

One of the most powerful tools in life can be a tape recorder. If a camera is an eye in the sky with no opinions for either side. Then a tape recorder is an ear with a voice. Like a camera, a tape recorder can sometimes be used and hold up in a court of law. If a person is being harassed, threatened or discriminated upon, then a tape recorder can help define words. Which would most people be able to do? Would they rather listen in on a conversation or see a conversation?

This is a no brainer for me, I would much rather listen to a conversation than see it. Don’t take this the wrong way, a camera can be more powerful in a lot of situations. However, when it comes to voice and words, a tape recorded is hands down the choice for me. A taper recorder is a tape player that can record people’s words. They are usually small and size and come equipped with a microphone, sometimes earphones and most come with a tape. They are usually operated with batteries.

How much does one cost? A basic tape recorder will most likely range between $20-$75. There are some types and brands that cost less and much more. Tapes are usually less than $10 each. A person can get a complete, ready to record tape player for under $60 at most stores that offer them. With all this being said, many people want to know what can a tape recorder do for them.

For people drowning in debt, a tape recorder can record calls and conversations. This can be a big help is someone is being harassed by a creditor. If someone was a work and ask a creditor to quit calling they would then have proof of the call(s) and be able to pursue legal actions against these creditors. In most states, a creditor can harass a customer at work. It is embarrassing to say the least to have creditors bothering employees. This keeps them from doing their job properly and can lead to termination by the employer in severe situations.

Recording other situations can benefit people as well. A person may never know when a tape recorder can benefit them. They are a very useful tool at an affordable price and can benefit people in a lot of different situations. Don’t allow anyone to get away with it is your word vs. mine. A tape recorder can prove who’s word it is.
