Consider Location when Buying a Home

Vacant Lots Do not buy a home next to a vacant house unless your absolutely certain about the quality, location, and the general style of the home that will be built there.
Neighbors Homes What is the current style and condition of the properties on all sides of the home you are considering? It should be ideal if they are all single-family homes and not office buildings, apartments, schools or business. A corner location is not as desirable as a home in the middle of the block. Homes on main roads sell for less than those on residential less traffic roads.
School System Does the local school system have a good reputation? There is almost always a direct relationship between a home's value and the quality of the local school system. Remember you will be a seller one day and your home will bring in a lot more money and sell faster with a desirable school system.
