Buying a Home in Texas
We bought our first home in Texas. We have lived here our entire lives. Here is the steps we took to buy our first home. The Texas home buying process was as follows for us.
First we was pre-approved for a home loan with an outstanding low interest rate not Texas sized. We was amazed at the values on the real estate market. Our lender for the home loan told us how much we was pre approved for and to find the house of our dreams. So we went shopping.
Second we called on a realtor to show us some homes. We researched a realtor for one we liked and understood our needs and was ready available if needed. We started looking at the mls home listings in the area. We told the realtor what type of house we were looking and she picked out some homes based on what we needed. At first the shopping was fun and filled with joy, however after a month or so it became real old. We would find a house missing something we wanted like a big yard, a fireplace or something like that. While in the area we found a builder who was building a home near where we wanted to live. The builder had a few houses almost complete. He was building the dream house we wanted so we begain the closing process. We made an offer to the seller, he then came back with a counter offer. Then we sent a final offer in which he took. He was great to work with. He put a fridge, washer and dryer in the house and allowed us to close with no up-front fees. Best of all our builder gave us a free 1 year warranty. In fact at the title company we only had to pay $162.00 total move in. We was amazed and had wished we purchased a home sooner.
Next the land was surveyed, and we also had to get the home appraised and inspected. Now we was all set to move in. Our lender working on our home loan was accurate on everything. We had closed and moved in 30 days.
In closing this is how we bought our Texas home and hope this provides you information on how easy it is to get a loan and purchase a house and the benefits of owning your very own home.
